Significance: Went to the forest because of war and fighting.
Symbolism: Disaster

Route to Nong Chan Chapter 2
Significance: Stanger told them to go to Nong Chan for free food
Symbolism: Survival

Went to heart of Nong Chan Chapter 3 & 4
Significance: To collect rice and came back to the campsite

Symbolism: Survival

Met Jantu and family Chapter 5 & 6
Significance: Came from the same village, became good friends and carved clay dolls
Symbolism: Friendship, strong friendship


Headed to Thailand Chapter 7
Significance: Explosion took place, stayed away from the shelling of bombs
Symbolism: Disaster

Jantu & baby brother went to Khao I Dang Hospital. Dara went back to campsite to
look for family Chapter 8 & 9
Significance: Baby was injured and Dara went back to look for her lost family
Symbolism: Misfortune

Went through the forest and into Kung Silor Military Camp with Chnay Chapter 10
Significance: To find Dara’s mother
Symbolism: Mother and Child's love for each other

Reached base camp and circled around it to look for family and found them after 1 week Chapter 11, 12 & 13
Significance: Many villagers took shelter at the base camp
Symbolism: Survival

Went to Khao I Dang’s hospital to look for Jantu & baby Chapter 14
Significance: To unite the family together
Symbolism: Unity

Went back to base camp Chapter 15
Significance: Preparing to go back to Siem Reap
Symbolism: Peace

On the way home to Siem Reap Chapter 16, 17 & 18
Significance: Headed to Dara's village - Home
Symbolism: Safety
